About ME

Diane Lyddon, owner of Crafty Dog Design, Reedsport, Oregon

Originally from the midwest, I attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where I earned an associates degree in graphic design. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.

I started my career as a graphic designer in Rockford, Illinois and then moved to Chicago. In 2002 I moved to Springfield, Illinois. Besides starting my own freelance business (Crafty Dog Design), I spent many hours working at the Illinois Times (alternative weekly newspaper) and the Springfield Business Journal.

One of my greatest passions is helping homeless animals. Besides working at a local animal shelter in Springfield, I also spent countless hours volunteering at the Animal Control facility. I was one of the founding members of “Meow Mobile”, which was a mobile cat adoption trailer. I have continued helping here in Reedsport by catching strays, getting them vetted and finding them homes.

My extensive experience in helping get animals adopted has helped me become very skilled in the art of social media marketing. I started a Facebook page for Springfield’s Animal Control that now has over 19,000 “likes”.
